Google User Data

Limited Use disclosure

Indite's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs is not used to develop, improve or train generalized AI/ML models.

What we access and why

When you connect a Google account, Indite accesses only the data needed for the workflows you build:

  • Gmail: read, send, label and organize emails as part of your workflows.
  • Google Drive: read, create and update files you select or that your workflows create.
  • Google Sheets: read and write spreadsheet rows used by your workflows.
  • Google Calendar: read events and create or update events.
  • Google Contacts: read and manage contacts used by your workflows.
  • Google Analytics: read reporting data for properties you select.

How we use it

Google user data is used only to provide the features you configure. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI/ML models. Indite staff do not read your Google data except with your explicit consent (for example, for support), for security purposes, or where required by law.

With whom we share Google user data

We share Google user data only as needed to run your workflows, with these categories of service providers:

  • AI model providers. These receive data only when you add an AI step to a workflow and choose to pass Google data to it. Providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock (AWS), Groq, Mistral AI, Google Gemini API, Together AI, Hugging Face, ElevenLabs, OpenRouter and Dify. Data is sent through the provider's API under terms or settings that prohibit using it to train their models.
  • Infrastructure providers. Google user data is hosted and stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which processes it only on our behalf and for no other purpose. We do not use any third-party email provider.
  • Third-party services you connect. Data goes to these only when your workflow explicitly sends it to them (for example, a Slack or CRM step).

We may also disclose data where required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with equivalent protections.

Retention and deletion

We keep Google user data only as long as needed to run your workflows: [e.g. execution logs are kept for 2 years]. You can disconnect your Google account at any time in Indite under Credentials, or at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. To request deletion of your data, contact support@indite.io. We will delete it within 30 days.

Data Security & Protection

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data obtained through third party APIs (i.e., Google APIs, Slack APIs, LinkedIn APIs), including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS
  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest
  • Restricted access controls for internal systems
  • Secure credential storage using encrypted secrets management
  • Continuous monitoring and logging for unauthorized access attempts

Access to Google user data is limited only to functionality required for the app's core features and is never shared, sold, or used for advertising purposes.

Data Retention

We retain Google user data only as long as necessary to provide the requested functionality. Users may revoke access at any time from their Google account permissions page or request deletion by contacting us at: support@indite.io

User Control

Users can:

  • Disconnect Google integrations at any time
  • Request deletion of stored data
  • Revoke app access from Google Security Settings
